Islamic sermon in English or Nasehat Agama Islam dalam Bahasa Inggris

Khutbah Al-Hajah: How to begin a Khutbah Sermon in Arabic and English

When the Khateeb begins his sermon, he should say the following words in Arabic (along with the English translation if the sermon will be in English). Links to the sources in the Sunnah have been provided.
Note: This is not the only permissible formula that can be used, but it is popular and in accordance with the Sunnah. Allah knows best.
The preacher should say:
All thanks and praise is due to Allah, we seek His help and forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil within ourselves and the consequences of our evil deeds. Whoever Allah guides will never be led astray, and whoever Allah leads astray will never find guidance. I bear witness there is no God but Allah, alone without any partners, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger.
Allah the Exalted said, “O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims in submission to Him.” (3:102)
And the Exalted said, “O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from one soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the wombs. Verily, Allah is ever watching over you.” (4:1)
And the Exalted said, “O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will then amend for you your deeds and forgive your sins, and whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great attainment.” (33:70-71)
Verily, the most truthful speech is the Book of Allah, the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad, and the worst affairs are newly invented matters. Every newly invented matter is a religious innovation, and every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Hellfire.
To proceed (and then begin the sermon).

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ascended the pulpit and he said, “Amīn, amīn, amīn.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, you ascended the pulpit and said amīn, amīn, amīn.” The Prophet said, “Verily, Gabriel came to me and he said: Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and he is not forgiven, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say amīn. I said amīn. Whoever sees his parents in their old age, one or both of them, and he does not honor them and he dies, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say amīn. Abu Amina Elias  July 12, 2017
Hudhaifa ibn Al-Yaman reported: The people used to ask the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, about good, but I would ask about evil for fear it would overtake me. I said, “O Messenger of Allah, we were in ignorance and evil and Allah sent us this good. Will there be evil after this good?” The Prophet said, “Yes.” I said, “Will there be good after that evil?” The Prophet said, “Yes, but within it is smoke.” I said, “What is its smoke?” The Prophet said, “A people who are not guided by my guidance. You will recognize them and reject them.” I said, “Will there be evil after that good?” The Prophet said, “Yes, callers to the gates of Hellfire. Whoever answers them will taste it from within.” I said, “O Messenger of Allah, describe them to us.” The Prophet said, “They are from our progeny and speak our language.” I said, “What do you command me should that overtake me?” The Prophet said, “Hold fast to the community of Muslims and their leader.” I said, “What if there is no community and no leader?” The Prophet said, “Then withdraw from all of the sects, even if you must bite at the root of trees until death overtakes you in that state.”

Ka’b on Mercy: Blessed are those who are merciful to creation

Abu Amina Elias  June 8, 2017
Ka’b reported: Allah Almighty said to Moses, upon him be peace, “O Moses, be soft in nature, for the most abhorred creation to me is one within whom is arrogance, in whose tongue is sharpness, and in whose heart is hardness. The most beloved character traits to me are mercy, compassion, kindness, and gentleness. O Moses, be merciful to my creation and I will have mercy on you. O Moses, I am merciful and I love those who are merciful. Blessed are those who are merciful. Again, blessed are those who are merciful. And again, blessed are those who are merciful.”
